Driving past Loch Ba has been a regular occurrence over the years. On the way to many a west coast adventure. A loch with many little peninsulas and tree covered islands, “Ba” in Gaelic means cattle, although I don’t think I’ve ever seen any cows chewing the cud on my many drive throughs. Definitely more of a historical reference, probably in relation to cattle droving.
We would see no cows but lots of wildlife over the next three days of exploring the loch and its surroundings. James, Gav and I met on the A82 near the boathouse, packed our barrels and set off to find a spot to set up some tents and tarps and enjoy a few days solitude. Here’s what we did.
