“And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.” – John Muir
Reckless in Reykjavik – July 2014
A trip to the volcanic island. We only had 3 full days in and around Reykjavik so we had to cram in much of what Iceland has to offer. A stunning country with beautiful landscapes, lovely people and an exciting history, both in terms of geology and settlement.
We ate Skyr and Krap. We bought some Brennivin and searched for elves. We did find The Blue Lagoon, Strokkur (the geyser), Þingvellir, whale watching…….We didn’t have time to walk on a glacier or travel under a volcano…….next time!
Exploring the hills and glens of Scotland on foot is my passion. A quick cycle, a days snowboarding or a multi-day hike, I'm happiest discovering something new about our gorgeous country and hopefully I can motivate others to do the same.
I try my hand at most things, snowboarding, film making, sheep shearing, eating, sports, sports bars, other bars, barbells etc. Come along and see for yourself.
